Exilis for the cheeks in London

What it does on the cheeks

The radiofrequency warms the skin and the layer beneath to the temperature at which collagen contracts and new collagen is laid down over the following weeks. The aim is that the cheek firms and sits a little higher and the fold below it softens. It does not add volume to a hollow cheek, which a filler does, and a heavy mid-face is more than a course tightens; the doctor says so where another route is better.

What the studies measured

A 30-patient face series scored the cheek items among its measures, and the ten faces in the 34-person combined-device series were picked out by blinded evaluators in over 90% of cases at three months. The session and after

In our practice the skin is cleaned and a thin layer of gel applied, a return pad is placed on your skin, and the handpiece is moved over each cheek while the warmth builds. Pink, warm skin afterwards that settles over hours, and you go straight back to your day. Usually four weekly sessions, then the review one to three months after the last, where we photograph in our practice.

Who it suits

In our practice, an adult with early slackening over the cheekbone and a deepening fold, with skin that still has elasticity, who wants a comfortable course with nothing through the skin. Not with a pacemaker or other internal electronic device, metal implants in the area, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or an active skin infection.
