Exilis for the forehead in London

Horizontal lines across the forehead and skin that has lost its smoothness there are the upper face in BTL's own treatment tabs for Exilis, and the device is FDA-cleared in the US for the treatment of wrinkles and rhytids. The small handpiece warms the skin over the bone of the forehead, where there is little tissue beneath, at a setting the doctor adjusts with you. Usually four weekly sessions, about 20 minutes each in our practice, with no downtime. What it does on the forehead

The radiofrequency warms the skin to the temperature at which collagen contracts and new collagen is laid down over the following weeks, so etched lines soften and the skin tightens. Lines made by the brow and frown muscles keep forming with the muscle, which a muscle-relaxing injection treats, and the doctor says so. What the studies measured

The clearance covers wrinkles and rhytids without naming an area, and no Exilis series measures the forehead alone, and we say so. The session and after

In our practice the skin is cleaned and a thin layer of gel applied, and a return pad is placed on your skin. The small handpiece is moved across the forehead for about 20 minutes while the warmth builds; the hairline is avoided. Pink, warm skin afterwards that settles over hours, and you go straight back to your day. Usually four weekly sessions, then the review one to three months after the last, where we photograph in our practice.

Who it suits

In our practice, an adult with etched forehead lines or loosened skin there who wants a comfortable course with nothing through the skin, usually with the rest of the face.
