Exilis for the neck in London

The neck appears in BTL's own before-and-after gallery for Exilis. Crepey skin, horizontal lines and early looseness of the neck are treated in our practice with the handpiece at a lower setting than the face, adjusted with you. No Exilis series has measured the neck, and no US clearance names it, and we say so. Usually four weekly sessions, about 20 minutes each in our practice, with no downtime. What it does on the neck

The radiofrequency warms the skin to the temperature at which collagen contracts and new collagen is laid down over the following weeks, and the aim is that the crepey texture tightens and the lines soften. A heavy, loose neck is more than a course tightens. The doctor says so and discusses Ultherapy at our sister clinic at the same address, whose US clearance names the neck, or surgery where either is the better route.

The session and after

In our practice the skin is cleaned and a thin layer of gel applied, and a return pad is placed on your skin. The handpiece is moved over the neck while the warmth builds, with the front of the neck over the thyroid treated lightly. Pink, warm skin afterwards that settles over hours, and you go straight back to your day. Usually four weekly sessions, then the review one to three months after the last, where we photograph in our practice.

Who it suits

In our practice, an adult with crepey skin or early laxity of the neck who wants a comfortable course with nothing through the skin, usually with the face or the chest. Not with a pacemaker or other internal electronic device, metal implants in the area, a thyroid condition under investigation, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or an active skin infection.
